shoutout my dad i mentuoned our chopping boards were getting black around the edges (mould?) when he and mam came to visit a couple month agao and the other day got this one in tbe post and made delicious salmon bagel which were nicer than they looked (the slime on the board is tomato juice) but also deceptively chat since the bagels i bought were STALE but a good feed nevertheless.
of course the board was made from some mysterious extremely hard wood he found at the very bottom of the mens shed pile (bottom right picture). mustve been part of the sturdiest bit of furniture this side of the ‘quator. he said the unidentifiable glue was really hard to get off. i hope any remnants dont leech into my food but then again i eat off scratched teflon and use plastic cooking utensils with flakes coming off so whatever
very solid - weighs ≈ 3 kilos. my scales arent super accurate but certainly less than 5 as thats the macimum weight for the mailbag he sent it in. will have to take care not to drop it on toes
wthe reference to the adelaide pandas was about how when adelaide zoo got pandas wayyyyygh back in the day i really wanted to go see them and eventually we did but because i was a moody teenager at the time when he told me we werw going i was like wtf dad that was ages ago. that was still cool though once again shoutout dad and mum also for that one
